To Sleep, Perchance To Dream

I’ve been thinking and dreaming about how I would dress the Forest Canopy bed if it were mine. There’s a wealth of possibilities…the frame is so special that I wouldn’t want to take away from the ethereal leaves and branches, but it’s also a solid dark color that could stand up to a fun pattern. It’s hard to go wrong, but here are some choices to make it look great!

First up, patterns! These bright and bold colors will really play off the black frame. I love the burst of flowers in the Fleur Patchwork Quilt, and the Wild Poppy Bouquet Duvet Cover echoes the bed’s nature theme with an abstract  floral sketch.

Next, ruffles…another love/weakness of mine. I think the delicate femininity of ruffles are a nice complement to the strong lines of the iron, and I’m enchanted by cool blues and grays in the Waterfall Ruffle Duvet and Ruffled Sheet Set.

I also like the idea of a stunningly bright patterned sheet set. I think you can totally get away with something like the Filigree Leaf Sheet Set, which also echoes back to our theme.

Finally, there’s always the option of outfitting the bed in all white and going crazy/creative with the pillows. I love the statement-making Tuxedo Feather Embroidered Designer Pillow. Is it too crazy to pair feathers with leaves and branches? I’m kind of drawn to the eclectic and eccentric nature mash-up. The Happy Dark Turquoise Ruffle Pillow Cover from Hettle has long been a favorite of mine and would add an interesting punch of color and texture. Now, back to daydreaming!
